We recommend a complete physical exam for your pet on a yearly basis.  Lots of changes can occur from year to year, especially as your pet gets older.

Preventative health care recommendations are made based on examination findings and your pet’s individual needs and situation, which you help us to determine. This may include blood, urine, or fecal tests, vaccinations, dietary or exercise advice, and life-style changes.

Triple Pelvic Osteotomy (TPO) is a procedure most commonly used in young dogs that have hip dysplasia. Dogs affected with hip dysplasia have looser than normal hips which cause many dogs to develop pain and inflammation of the joint, including arthritis. The hip joint is like a ball and socket. When a dog is affected with hip dysplasia, the ball (femoral head) drifts out of the socket (acetabulum). This results in less than normal covering of the femoral head.

TPO is a surgical technique that involves three cuts of the bone (triple osteotomy) around the joint that allows the surgeon to tilt the socket (acetabulum) over the ball (femoral head). The goal is to give a better fit to the joint to allow for better long-term function of the affected limb and to decrease the amount of arthritis that may develop.

Digital X-rays of your pet are taken normally, however instead of using film and chemicals, as in the past, we can now process your pet's X-ray directly onto our computer screen using digital technology. What this means for you and your pet is that we can produce a much better quality X-ray image, giving us a much clearer image of the bones and soft tissue. Digital X-ray allows us to see far more detail than we ever could before on a standard x-ray, making diagnosis of particular problems much quicker and easier.

Our veterinary ultrasound allows the doctors to examine your pet without invasive or painful procedures.  This pain free, non stressful procedure assists the doctor in diagnosing abdominal, cardiac, urinary, cervical, and many other problems your pet may be experiencing.

Veterinary ultrasound also helps the doctor in establishing a diagnosis and treatment plan to keep your pet happy and healthy for life.

Every day a beloved family pet is lost.  Tragically, most never make it back home because their owners didn't identify them.  The MicroChip is the professional way to identify your pet and is proven safe and effective.

A tiny MicroChip that contains a personal identification number distinguishes your pet as a special member of your family.  The MicroChip is so tiny that it fits through a hypodermic needle.  Just like a vaccination, it is injected under the skin of your pet where it remains safely for life.  This inexpensive procedure can be done anytime and protects virtually any pet in your household.

Vaccinating your pets against disease is one of the most important aspects of pet health care.  Proper vaccination can spare your pets from such potentially deadly diseases as rabies, distemper and feline leukemia.  Vaccinations must be re-administered periodically to protect your pets from diseases and keep them healthy for a lifetime.

Dermatology and skin disorders can lead to your pet having itching problems, hair loss, skin infections, ringworm, mites, and "hot spots".

If your pet is constantly scratching, or licking, we'll help you determine the cause of your pet's skin problem and help you with a treatment plan to make your pet more comfortable.
