CINNAMON, Certified Veterinary Technician Veterinary Staff Supervisor
Cinnamon, RVT - Cinnamon is a certified veterinary technician that supervises the technician staff at Avondale. She has been employed by Avondale since 2004 and enjoys providing care to the animals at Avondale. She has 2 cats, Rascal and Friday. In her free time she loves spending time with her daughter, boating and reading.
ANGELLA, Veterinary Technician; Laser Therapist; Nutrition Counselor Angella has been employed at Avondale Veterinary Healthcare Complex since the summer of 1993. She is one of our laser therapists at the clinic as well as a nutrition counselor. When not working, her favorite activities include spending time with her husband, Tim, and their two boys, Jack & Benjamin. They also spend time golfing and sky diving. She has one dog, "Maggie", a Lab.
NANCY Veterinary Assistant
Nancy is a veterinary assistant for Avondale. She assists the veterinary technicians and doctors with animal care and treatment and does all the laundry for the complex! She has been employed with Avondale for 23 years. She has one cat - "Ozzy". In her free time she loves spending time with her grandchildren and shopping.
JACKI Certified Veterinary Technician
Jacki is a Certified Veterinary Technician that has worked at Avondale since January of 1997. She enjoys assisting our veterinarians with dental procedures as well as working with our clients and their pets on behavior modification.
She has 3 dogs and 2 cats and in her spare time enjoys knitting and doing agility training with her dog, "Hunter".
JESS, Veterinary Technician
Jess is one of our Certified Veterinary Technicians. She loves to spoil all the dogs that come through the door at Avondale and has a special interest in assisting with surgeries and working with chemotherapy dogs.
Jess has been employed with Avondale since 2002. Her pets include "Hoover", who is a 14 1/2 year old Quaker Parrot; "Sabrina", a 6 1/2 year old Indian Ring Neck; and "Tyler", who is a 2 1/2 year old parrot. In her free time, she likes to go to the gym, play volleyball & softball and hang out with her friends.
LIBBY Veterinary Technician
Libby is one of our veterinary technicians and has been employed by Avondale since 2005. She has an English Setter, “Philo”, who is 11 years old and “Lacy Lu”, who is a guinea pig.
In her free time, Libby enjoys spending time with her family and friends, doing pet therapy with her dog and spending time with her boyfriend, Randy.
CRYSTAL, Veterinary Technician
Crystal has been with
Avondale since May of 2005. While attending college she worked with us part
time and has recently graduated and is now here on a full time basis. She is a
surgery veterinary technician at Avondale Veterinary Healthcare Complex. Her
duties include coordinate all surgeries, assist the veterinarians during the
surgery, maintenance of all surgical equipment as well as maintaining a sterile
environment.
LUCINDA, Veterinary Technician
Lucinda is one of our veterinary technicians and works weekends at the Avondale Veterinary Healthcare Complex as a veterinary technician. Lucinda also helps during the week as a receptionist. She has been with Avondale since the summer of 2007 and is engaged to be married the spring of 2008.
Lucinda has a mini sheltie/terrier mix named
Toby and a ginger/white cat named Morris. Her hobbies and favorite activities
include drawing and painting landscape pictures and of course, she loves playing
ball with her dog, Toby.
STACIA, Veterinary Technician Stacia has been with Avondale Veterinary Healthcare Complex since the summer of 2007. She is a veterinary technician who has acquired her Associate in Applied Sciences for Veterinary Technology degree. She assists with surgery, emergency treatment, assists with routine check ups, as well as other duties involving medical care of the animals. Stacia has a yellow lab, Korbin; 2 gray tabby cats, Whiskey and Jack Daniels. When not working she enjoys playing pool, spending time at the beach or dog park. She also loves outdoor activities such as croquet, volleyball, and basketball.
ELIZABETH, Veterinary Assistant Elizabeth is a veterinary assistant who has been with Avondale Veterinary Healthcare Complex since the summer of 2007. She assists the veterinarian in the care of the animals. She has 3 cats: Reina & Mia who are black DSHs; Pedro who is a red & white Cornish Rex. She is married to Daniel and in her spare time loves doing anything outdoors including camping, hiking, ultimate frisbee, basketball and gardening.
ANGELA, Certified Veterinary Technician Angela is a Certified Veterinary Technician that has been with Avondale Animal Hospital since the fall of 2007. Angela has two dogs of her own, "Lela", an Australian Shepherd and "Lucy", a Cocker Spaniel as well as 5 cats: " Odysseus", "Timmy", "Steve", "Katie" and "Emma". In her free time she enjoys jogging, watching movies, playing video games and spending time with friends and family.
MIA, Veterinary Techincian Mia joined Avondale Animal Hospital in the spring of 2008 after moving to the area from Florida. She is a veterinary technician and has 3 children - 2 girls, Darynne and Abby and one boy, Jeffrey. They have 3 animals that all came as a result of rescues - Grissum, who is an orange Tiger cat; Jada, who is a brindle Pit Bull; Flip Flop, who is a black Labrador/Sheep Dog mix. Her free time is spent playing with her kids, camping, fishing and Nascar races - especially cheering for her favorite, Tony Stewart #20!
KRIS, Veterinary Technician
DANIELLE, Veterinary Technician
Danielle is a veterinary technician that has been with Avondale Veterinary Healthcare Complex since the summer of 2008. She is married and not only has a veterinary technician degree from Des Moines Area Community College, but a business degree from Drake University. She has 2 dogs - Shiba
Inus Kitsune and Yuki; 3 cats - Maxwell, Brutus and Buttercup as well as 2
Cockatiels - Marie Antoinette and Launch Pad. In her free time she enjoys
gardening, home improvements, cooking, spending time with friends and playing
critical thinking board games.
JESSICA, Veterinary Technician
Jessica is a veterinary technician that has been with Avondale Veterinary Healthcare Complex since she completed her veterinary technician training in the spring of 2008.
Her duties include assisting the veterinarian in the care of the animals including monitoring during surgery, blood draws for testing, etc. She has a Greyhound dog, Staley and a cat, Ebony. In her free time she loves to read and go camping.
